The Problem

Researchers spend 3-4 hours per day searching for and screening papers. Traditional keyword search misses 40% of relevant papers. Citation chasing is manual and slow. There's no tool that truly understands your research question and finds what matters.

Our Approach

We built Undermind around three principles:

• Deep understanding over keyword matching. Undermind reads papers — not just titles and abstracts — to evaluate true relevance to your question.
• Citation completeness. Literature review isn't done until you've traced the full citation chain. We automate that.
• Transparency. Every AI answer comes with citations. You can verify every claim.

The Technology

Undermind uses large language models fine-tuned for academic understanding to evaluate papers at depth. Our citation tracking combines multiple academic databases to provide comprehensive forward and backward citation chains. We continuously improve based on user feedback and research benchmarks.
